Abstract This Decree, consisting of 6 Chapters and 3 Annexes, regulates the National Policy on Tourism and defines competencies and duties of the Federal Government in the planning, development and promotion of the touristic sector. This Decree is divided as follows: Purpose (Chap. I); National Policy on Tourism (Chap. II); Promotion of Touristic Activity with support of the Fund of Tourism - FUNGETUR (Chap. III); Touristic Facilities (Chap. IV); National System of Cadastre, Classification and Control of Touristic Facilities (Chap. V); Administrative Proceedings(Chap. VI). It also prescribes offences and penalties for illegal activities. Annexes lay down model form for touristic facilities registration.
