Abstract This Decree, consisting of 9 Chapters, regulates Law No. 11.346 creating the National System for Food and Nutrition Security (SISAN). This Decree defines the baselines and objectives of the National Policy on Food and Nutrition Security (PNSAN), provides for its management, financing mechanisms, monitoring and assessment, in the framework of the National System of Food and Nutrition Security SISAN, and establishes the criteria for designing the National Plan for Food and Nutritional Security in view of guaranteeing the human right to food and to an adequate nutrition.
