This Decree enters into force 90 days after its publication.
Abstract

This Decree approves the Regulation of the International Code of Protection of Ships and Port Facilities (CIPNIP). This Regulation, consisting of 40 articles divided into nine Chapters and 16 Annexes, establishes the respective legal regime applicable within the Republic of Mozambique to international transport ships and their companies, including port facilities serving such ships, including: passenger ships, high-speed vessels, cargo ships, high speed with a gross tonnage of 500 GRT or more and mobile offshore drilling units. The National Marine Institute (INAMAR) is responsible for coordinating and supervising the application of the CIPNIP.
