Abstract This Order, made by the State Food Control Agency, prohibits the importation of pistachios originating or exported from Iran. Importation and/or marketing of such nuts is allowed only if the following conditions are met: (1) the imported nuts are to be controlled by the food control office of Oslo; (2) the importer hands over documents from which results that the imported lot was analysed and approved by the Iranian department of public health and a certificate of health issued, or; (3) if the lot was imported previously in a country belonging to the European Economic Area, that the imported lot was previously analysed and approved by the authorities of that country.
