Abstract

This Decree validates the Regulation on organization of school feeding for students of general secondary and special educational (equivalent to general secondary) educational institutions and the Regulation on provision with school feeding and organization of school feeding of students studying educational programs of additional education for gifted children and youth in the educational institution "National Children's Technopark". Financing of school feeding of both categories of students shall be covered by the national budget and other sources of financing authorized by the acting legislation. Provision of school feeding shall be performed by legal persons, individual entrepreneurs and other organizations with structural units authorized to perform public catering, or by educational institutions authorized to perform public catering on the territory of educational institutions (dining rooms, handouts, buffets, cafes). Meals free of charge shall be provided to the following categories of students: (a) students from low income families; (b) students living in dormitories of educational institutions (for meals a day); (c) categories of students listed in the item 6 (one daily meal); (d) categories of students listed in the item 7 (one, two or three daily meals depending upon the level of radioactive contamination of Chernobyl nuclear plant area where they study); and (e) students of specialized educational institutions (four or five daily meals depending upon the type of educational institution).
