Abstract This Decree recognizes the state of public calamity, caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, which affects the State of São Paulo, as rectified on 3 April 2020, and provides for specific measures to address it. The State Secretariats shall suspend until 30 April 2020, activities of a non-essential nature in the respective spheres. The suspension of activities will cover, among others: 1. state parks; 2. qualification courses - Professional Qualification Programmes and Income Transfer Via Rapid and NOVOTEC; 3. face-to-face service at POUPATEMPO - Citizen Service Centers, Commercial Board of the State of São Paulo - JUCESP and State Traffic Department - DETRAN-SP. The suspension provides also for civil servants: I - those responsible for non-essential activities and who no longer have vacation periods for the year 2020, will be available to the Management, upon request of the latter through the available means of communication, observing the ordinary hours of their working hours; II - those responsible for essential activities will carry them out in person or via telework, under the terms of specific acts published in specific contexts.
