Abstract

This Decree approves the new Regulation of Articles 9 to 13 of Law No. 7.663, establishing the guidelines for the State Policy on Water Resources and the Integrated Water Resources Management System. Annex establishes the new Regulation of the Granting on Rights for Water Resources Use. The Department of Water and Electric Energy - DAEE may allow through the grant of water resource use the following activities: execution of works or services that alter the regime, quantity and quality of surface or underground water resources; execution of works for extraction of groundwater; diversion of superficial or underground water from its course or deposit; discharge of effluents into the bodies of water. The application for obtaining a grant shall comply with specific provisions of the DAEE Ordinance. The uses in water resources, for implementation of new projects, will be subject to prior approval of DAEE feasibility, as provided by the granting authority.
