Abstract This Decree approves the Sanitary Control Regime on Foodstuff. This Regime, consisting of 5 Titles, applies for the production, internal trade, import and export of foodstuff destined to human consumption. It also applies to the wholesale food chain, and establishes the norms to be met by infrastructures, equipments, objects and any material used for this purpose. The Regime is divided as follows: General provisions (Title I); Human health prevention (Title II); Foodstuff fraud and adulteration (Title III); Competent monitoring authorities (Title IV); Final provisions (Title V).
