This Decree enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Decree approves the Structure of the Ministry of Environment. This Governing Structure, consisting of 5 Chapters and 3 Annexes, establishes competencies and duties of the above mentioned Ministry, entitled to implement the National Policy of Environment, Policy on ecosystem preservation, biodiversity conservation and sustainable use of natural resources; propose strategies for the improvement of the environmental quality standards; Policies and environmental programmes for the Legal Amazones and the Economic and Ecological Zoning.
