The Decree requires the cooperation of the Product Branch Organization for Livestock and Meat and the Branch Organization for Trade in Livestock in relation to the implementation of the said Directive and Council Regulation (EEC) No. 820/97 establishing a system for the identification and registration of animals and regarding the labelling of beef and beef products. The cooperation regards mainly the drafting of rules for the identification of animals. The power to issue regulations is granted to the Minister for agriculture, Nature Conservation and Fisheries pursuant to article 3. Rules may apply to different categories of holders of livestock and animals.
