Abstract This Decree establishes hygienic food safety standards related to foodstuffs, food additives and shall be applicable to processing, import and internal trade thereof. Sanitary regulation shall be destined for individual entrepreneurs and legal persons, and also for state sanitary and epidemiological supervision bodies. Food additives contents shall comply with normative and technical requirements, and also with the requirements set by this Decree. The use of GMO shall be specified by the producer and shall be indicated on labels and packages. Food additives production and processing shall be authorized exclusively after state registration thereof and if food safety certificate is available.
