This Decree enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Decree, consisting of 35 articles divided into five Chapters, provides the Technical Secretariat for Food and Nutrition Security (SETSAN) created by Decree No. 24/2010 with the capacity to ensure effective multi-sectoral coordination of the implementation of food and nutrition security throughout the national territory. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned SETSAN entitled to carry out the following activities. a) Inter-Ministerial and institutional technical coordination for the implementation of Food and Nutritional Security; b) Promoting the implementation of programmes and actions within the scope of Food and Nutritional Security and the Human Right to Adequate Food, respecting the specific role of the institutions, entities and communities involved; c) Technical and administrative support to the National Council for Food and Nutritional Security, etc.
