Abstract

The product organization for enterprises active in the field of cultivation, processing and treatment of, and trade in fruit, vegetables and ornamental plants is established under section 2 as a semi-public body that shall regulate and supervise activities in the field of plant production and reproduction. Article 3 gives a definition of the sector for which the organization shall be responsible. The organization shall have various commissions responsible for specific fields such as flower bulbs, silviculture, floriculture, vegetables and fruits and (use of) energy by the sector (art. 5). The organization may issue rules regarding operation of hotels, restaurants and bars in accordance with section 93 of the Act relative to the Organization of the Industrial Sector and may on charge a levy in accordance with section 126 of the same Act (arts. 12 to 14).
