Abstract This Decree regulates certain aspects of the receipt and processing of scrape metal that contains radioactive substances. The rules contained in the Decree apply to scrape metal processing establishment of a certain size. If metal is received for processing it shall be monitored immediately for radiation. A register of measurements shall be kept by the establishment pursuant to article 5 and a responsible person appointed in accordance with article 6. Processing establishments shall procure financial guarantees to cover costs that may be incurred for the processing of radioactive metal.
