This Decree enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Decree, consisting of 12 articles, establishes the State Programme for the Enhancement of Livestock and Qualification of Agricultural and Animal Fairs in Rio Grande do Sul. This State Programme will be coordinated by the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Agribusiness. The objectives of the State Programme are: strengthening the State's livestock production chain, creating more employment and income generated activities by regional, national and international markets; encouraging producers to create better infrastructure in the areas hosting animals; fostering the "gaucho" agribusiness; motivating livestock activity within municipalities where the animal areas are located; promoting the involvement of associations of producers cores and entities linked to the sector, in order to strengthen them; modernizeing animal areas enabling a restructuring and holding events linked to the livestock industry in these places; providing favorable conditions for the welfare of animals avoiding the spread of diseases, as well as safety and comfort of visitors.
