Abstract This Decree provides for the admission of the Rio Grande do Sul State to the National Pact for Water Management. It establishes that the Rio Grande do Sul State declares its voluntary admission to the National Pact for Water Management, under the terms established by Resolution No. 379 of 21 March 2013, of the National Water Agency (ANA). The Secretariat of the Environment (SEMA), as an entity part of the State System of Water Resources of Rio Grande do Sul, will be responsible for coordinating the actions of the State Executive Branch related to the implementation of the Pact. The implementation of the Pact within the State will observe the goals of the federal cooperation and institutional development agreed with the Union, through the National Water Agency, and approved by the Water Resources Council of Rio Grande do Sul.
