Abstract This Decree validates the Regulation on the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection classified as the national executive body subordinated to the Council of Ministers. The following main tasks shall be assigned to the Ministry: (a) implementation of the unified state policy in the field of environmental protection and rational management of natural resources, including subsoil, water, wild fauna and flora, and state regulation in the field of hydrometeorology; (b) state regulation of environmental (ecological) certification; (c) coordination of state bodies and organizations in the field of environmental security; (d) conservation and rational use of biological diversity; (e) provision of state bodies, local government and citizens with ecological and hydrometeorological information, and ecological education of the population.
