It does not apply to the following foodstuffs: (a) samples imported for hygienic certification or for exhibition; (b) foodstuffs for export, transit or temporary storage; and (c) homemade foodstuffs for personal consumption. State sanitary and epidemiological service shall conduct hygienic certification of foodstuffs to establish their compliance with standards in to authorize the manufacture and trade of foodstuffs and ensure their safety. Hygienic certificates shall be valid for three years for national commodities and one year for imported commodities. Applicants shall submit the following documentation: (a) for national commodities, veterinary certificates for foodstuffs of animal origin; copy of the registration certificate of the national manufacturing enterprise; a sample label for other types of foodstuffs; samples of commodities for hygienic certification; and (b) for imported commodities, veterinary certificate for foodstuffs of animal origin; copy of the registration certificate of the importer; a sample label for other types of foodstuffs; samples of commodities for hygienic certification.
