It shall not be applicable foodstuffs produced by public catering enterprises destined for consumption in public catering facilities and to foodstuffs produced by natural persons for individual personal consumption. Labelling of foodstuffs must comply with the provisions of all technical regulations applicable thereto. Labelling of foodstuffs must be understandable, clear, easily readable, and reliable and not to mislead the customers, while the inscriptions, signs, symbols must have a contrasting background, on which the marking is placed. Method of marking must ensure its safety for the entire shelf life of foodstuffs subject to conformity with the manufacturer's storage conditions. Labelling of foodstuffs shall be performed in the official language, while it is possible to duplicate information in other languages. The labelling of foodstuffs shipped for export may be performed in the language of the importing country. Labelling of packaged foodstuffs must contain the following information: (a) name of foodstuff; (b) composition; (c) quantity; (d) date of manufacturing; (e) period of validity; (f) storage conditions; (g) country of origin; (h) recommendations for use or use restrictions; (i) nutritional value; (j) intended purpose of foodstuffs (for infant food and food for special dietary uses); (k) for fat-and-oil products contents of contents of TFA (trans fatty acids); for beverages – sugar contents, for bread and flour products contents of salt in accordance with the formulation.
