This Decree enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Decree, consisting of 21 articles, establishes the requirements and conditions for using water areas for aquaculture purposes. It specifies that water areas use could be authorized for aquaculture purposes if certain conditions and criteria are satisfied, such as: sustainable development, increase of Brazilian fish caught, social inclusion and food security.
