Abstract This Decree establishes the State Secretariat for Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Seapa), as referred in Law No. 24.313 of 28 April 2023. Seapa is responsible for any activity relating to: the State's agricultural policy; the sustainable development of rural areas; the management of the state policy on agriculture, livestock and supply, including its implementation; the development of agribusiness; the implementation of policies that promote the production of safe and sustainable food and nutritional security; the promotion and development of rural areas, family farming and traditional peoples and communities, including agroforestry activities, institutional markets and short marketing circuits; the formulation and execution of policies, programmes and actions related to the development, regulation, control and inspection of aquaculture, in accordance with Federal Law No. 11.959 of 29 June 2009; planning, management, supervision and execution of rural infrastructure and engineering logistics projects, including agricultural and hydro-agricultural engineering; the management of water dams; planning, coordination, supervision and execution of public irrigation and drainage projects, within the scope of Public Administration; administration, operation, conservation and maintenance of the irrigation infrastructure for common use and support for irrigating farmer organizations, installed in the irrigated perimeter, etc. .
