Abstract This Decree, consisting of 35 articles divided into twelve Chapters, provides for the The State Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Seapa), established by Law 22.257 of 27 July 2016. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of Seapa which has the competence to: plan, promote, organize, direct, coordinate, execute, regulate, control and evaluate sectoral actions under the responsibility of the State related to the following activities: I - development and competitiveness of agribusiness; II - State's agricultural policy; III - sustainable development of rural areas; IV - planning, management, supervision and execution of rural infrastructure and engineering logistics projects, including agricultural and hydro-agricultural engineering, with a view to the social and economic development of rural areas in the State; V - construction and recovery of water bays; VI - plan, coordinate, supervise and execute a public irrigation and drainage project, within the scope of public administration; VII - administration, either directly or through third parties, and to supervise the operation of the irrigation system of the Jaíba Project complex, etc. Full text Portuguese Website www.al.rs.gov.br
