This Decree enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Decree, consisting of 11 articles, creates the State Committee of the Atlantic Forestry Biosphere Reserve in the State of São Paulo, including the Management Council of the Green Belt Biosphere Reserve of the City of São Paulo. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned State Committee, entitled to perform the following activities: coordinate the implementation of the Atlantic Forest Biosphere Reserve, in accordance with the guidelines of the National Atlantic Forest Biosphere Reserve and the State Environmental Policy; collaborate with the State Government in the establishment of guidelines for the conservation of biodiversity; disseminate technical and scientific knowledge about the Atlantic Forest; promote sustainable development in the Atlantic Forest area and its associated ecosystems; demonstrate, when appropriate, projects, programmes and projects with bundling in the area of the Atlantic Forest Biosphere Reserve in the State; promote Environmental Education actions.
