Abstract

This Decree lays down basic provisions related to prophylaxis and liquidation of infectious anemia of horses and it shall be mandatory for all legal and natural persons. Diagnosis of infectious anemia of horses shall be established in accordance with clinical evidence, pathologicoanatomic changes, epizootological data and the results of laboratory testing. Purchase of equine animals shall be carried out at the farms that are free from infectious anemia of horses. In order to prevent propagation of the disease equine animals shall be subject to testing for infectious anemia by diffusion precipitation (ADP) test. Imported equine animals shall be put in quarantine for 30 days.
