Abstract This Decree creates the National Institution for Inspection of Economic Activities (INAE). INAE is a public institution of national scope, supervised by the Minister that oversees the areas of Industry and Commerce. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Institution, entitled to supervise all infrastructures where any industrial, commercial or service activity is carried out, and to promote actions of preventive nature with regard to infringements against the food safety and quality, authenticity, composition, food additives and other substances as well as the labelling requirements for foodstuffs.
