This Decree enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Decree approves the Regulation of the Secretariat of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform. This Regulation, consisting of 7 articles divided into six Chapters and two Annexes, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Secretariat, entitled to perform the following activities: plan, promote and execute the agricultural policy of the State, according to the peculiarities of each region; coordinate and implement actions related to the supply, storage and commercialization of inputs, foodstuff and agricultural products; implement and execute water supply, technical assistance and rural extension actions; promote, coordinate and execute plans and programmes for land reorganization, diversification of culture and expansion of arable land; implement irrigation programmes; work jointly with the Union in the implementation of agrarian reform actions and programmes; execute works, products and services related to water resources related to rural infrastructure, in articulation with state agencies and entities; develop programmes and projects of agricultural research and in the field of meteorology; carry out inspections and agricultural and cattle breeding activities; and coordinate, articulate and execute actions of sustainable development of the macro-regions of the State.
