This Decree enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Decree regulates Complementary Law No. 961 on the creation, implementation and management of urban parks in the Federal District. It establishes the general guidelines for defining the boundaries and ensuring the functions of urban parks as follows: I - guarantee the accessibility of urban parks to the urban area; II - ensure the necessary and adequate infrastructures, equipment and furniture for the recreation and socialization of users; III - preserve significant landscapes and scenic beauty; IV - protect existing plant cover and masses of native or exotic, non-invasive plants; V - encourage projects with sustainable technologies, solutions based on nature and urban agriculture; The urban parks located in the "Conjunto Urbanístico de Brasília" - CUB are also subject to specific legislation for the listed area. The implementation of urban parks must occur after elaboration of: I - Landscaping Guidelines or Use and Settlement Plan; II - Landscaping Project – PSG.
