This Decree enters into force on the day after its publication.
Abstract

This Decree approves the Additional Financing Agreement between the Republic of Cape Verde and the International Development Association, regarding the Project for Resilient Tourism and Development of the Blue Economy in Cape Verde, in an amount equivalent to 7,600,000 Special Rights, under the terms of Law No. 16/X/2022 of 30 December approving the State Budget for the financial year of 2023. In particular, this Agreement is a restructuring of the project, given the challenges presented in the rehabilitation of the Espargos/Santa Maria and other selected roads on the island of Sal. The Project consists of the following components: Component 1. Development of integrated and resilient tourism infrastructure and blue economy, consisting of carrying out subprojects designed to improve the quality of infrastructure relevant to tourism in selected locations. Component 2. Improving inclusive and sustainable management of tourism in a blue economy, consisting of supporting entrepreneurship and SME development in tourism and fisheries value chains through the provision of technical assistance. Component 3. Project Implementation Support, consisting of carrying out activities related to project management, including coordination, procurement, financial management. Component 4. Emergency Response Contingency Plan.
