Abstract This Decree, composed of 18 articles and two Annexes, regulates spatial planning of all national coastal area. In particular, it regulates the formulation and approval of Coastal Area Management Plans (POOC). The Decree defines POOC objectives, formulation requirements and procedures. Moreover, it institutes Permanent Technical Commissions to operate at Province level providing technical recommendations. Furthermore, the Decree rules on POOC approval and on the subsequent public works’ implementation (including control procedures). Finally, it recalls applicable sanctions. Annex I provides a list of relevant definitions; Annex II defines general principles to be observed during coastal land occupation, use and transformation.
