Abstract

This Decree establishes sanitary and hygienic requirements operation of food markets, including transportation, acceptance, storage and trade of foodstuffs. Trade at food markets shall be carried out by physical and legal persons of Kazakhstan and other states at specially equipped shopping stalls. Trading area shall be classified in: (a) area for trade of agricultural commodities; (b) area for trade of foodstuffs (meat, fish and dairy products separately); and (c) catering and laboratory service. Market land area shall be located at a distance of no less than 1.5 km from dumping place and cattle mortuary, and at a distance no less than 500 m from industrial enterprises and industrial storage facilities that can be sources of pollution. Trade of plant production shall be authorized prior control of pesticides and nitrate residues therein.
