Abstract This Decree, implementing provisions of the Law no. 07/NA of 2011 on Drugs and Medical Products, and of the Law no. 33/NA of 2013 on Food, concerns the medicinal use of certain plants, including hemp; the definition of medical products, including any substances and products used in the medical field, health supplements, and controlled and hazardous chemicals; the use, import and export of seeds and planting materials; the storage of plants and plant products; the use of plants for medical research; inspection activity; registration of activities related to the use of medicinal plants and requirements; issuance of planting permit and procedures to follow after the issuance of a permit; use of seeds and other parts of the plant as food ingredients, cosmetics, medical products; offences and penalties.
