Specifically, it provides for eradicating the sources of such diseases, and including the prophylactic measures against such diseases as part of the national security system. The Decree further mandates the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Georgia, the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia and regional and local governments to take specific measures for the fight against highly hazardous infectious animal diseases. The Decree also mandates the customs authority and the state border protection service to provide assistance in the quarantine and other measures necessary for the fight against highly hazardous infectious animal diseases (9 sections).
