This Decree enters into force immediately.
Abstract

This Decree regulates the classification of the Natural Reserve of 'Berlengas'. It consists of 20 articles and 1 Annex defining the aforesaid marine protected area composed by three groups of islands within the same archipelago: 'Berlenga Grande' and adjacent reefs: 'Estelas' and 'Farilhões-Forcadas'. Competent authority entitled to manage and carry out research and control within this area are specified in the text. This protected area aims to flora and fauna biodiversity protection, including endemic species. The limits of this Marine Sanctuary are listed in the Annex.
