Special attention in the process of polyvitaminization must be paid to the territories recognized as unfavourable in the course of sociohygienic monitoring. Optimal periods of polyvitaminization shall be from November to May, and also in summertime during sanitary prophylaxis campaigns and on the environmentally adverse territories and in sanatoriums all-the-year-round. The following criteria shall be met in the process of selection of polyvitamin: 1) must contain vitamins A, C, E, B1, B2, B6, B12, folic acid and also beta-carotin; 2) must contain microelements (iodine, selenium, iron).
