Article 1 deals with the organization, formation and management of the General Authority for Maritime Ports as the following: (1) Consultant of Administrative Board and Internal Revision Office under the control of the President of Administrative Board; (2) Administration of Human and Finance Resources and Data Technology under the control of the Director-General; (3) Administration of Maritime Navigation and the Administration of Trade Affairs under the control of the Director-General of Ports; (4) Administration of Security Affairs, Administration of Legal Affairs and Consultation Services under the control of the Director-General Assistant for Security, Legal Affairs and Consultation Services; and, (5) Administration of Free Zones and Administration of Planning and Development under the control of the Director-General Assistant of Free Zones Affairs.
