Abstract

The Premier, for the purpose of further development of pedigree stockbreeding, decrees to validate the Regulation on the modalities and terms and condition of certification of pedigree stockbreeding farms. Certification of pedigree stockbreeding farms shall represent valuation of the economic entities for the purpose of raising the efficiency of the selection and pedigree stockbreeding, acceleration of the formation of pedigree herds, and also the improvement of the utilization of pedigree genetic resources. All economic entities irrespectively of the form of property that are engaged in pedigree stockbreeding and growing of pedigree cattle shall be subject to certification. Certification shall be carried out in conformity with the minimum requirements set for the valuation of pedigree farms (number of livestock, animal productivity, results of productive and economic activity) validated in conformity with the established modalities. Certification of pedigree stockbreeding farms shall be carried out once in five years. Certification shall be carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and by the regional agricultural bodies. Pedigree stockbreeding farms that have passed the certification and have been issued the respective certificate shall be put under the state protection.
