Abstract

This Veterinary and Sanitary Regulation on prevention, diagnosis and elimination of reproductive-respiratory syndrome of pigs sets forth mandatory requirements for legal entities and natural persons, including individual entrepreneurs, for the safety of works and services related to the keeping, growing, breeding, transportation, trade, slaughtering, recycling, disposal, destruction of animal corpses, products of animal origin, production, procurement, storage, processing and movement of products of animal origin aimed at the prevention, diagnosis and elimination of reproductive and respiratory syndrome of pigs. In order to prevent reproductive-respiratory syndrome of pigs legal and natural persons, including individual entrepreneurs, must prevent access to pig farms of unauthorized persons and motor vehicles. The re-grouping of swine within the swine-breeding facility shall be performed through coordination with veterinary experts of this facility. Specialists in the field of veterinary medicine of a swine-breeding facility are obliged: (a) to conduct veterinary activities in accordance with the rules of asepsis and antiseptics, especially when injecting drugs, using sterile needles and injectors, surgical instruments for each animal; (b) organize monitoring of animal health in swine-breeding facilities; and (c) establish control of immunity in vaccinated animals. In the process of diagnosis of reproductive-respiratory syndrome of pigs epizootic, clinical and pathoanatomical data and laboratory results (tests) shall be taken into consideration.
