Decree No. 256 of the Cabinet of Ministers validating the Regulation on National Irrigation and Drainage Committee subordinated to the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Management.

This Decree establishes the sphere of competence of National Irrigation and Drainage Committee subordinated to the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Management as authorized state institution responsible for implementation of the national policy in the sphere of water management, conservation of water resources, and improvement of drainage and soil productivity of irrigated land. The Committee shall perform the following tasks: (a) assistance in development of water management schemes; and (b) modernization and rendering more efficient water supply and water distribution systems.
