Abstract This Decree approves the Regulation on the management of substances damaging the ozone layer under the Ministry for the Coordination of Environmental Action. The Regulation, consisting of 5 Chapters and 5 Annexes, specifies the requirements to be satisfied in order to perform any activity related with: import, export, transit and destroy of any substances that might damage the ozone layer in order to prevent or minimize the negative impact on the environment. It is divided as follows: General provisions (Chap. I); Authorities competent for the management of these substances (Chap. II); Import, export and transit of controlled substances (Chap. III); Recover, storage and transport of controlled substances (Chap. IV); Inspection and sanctions (Chap. V). Annexes list model forms, taxes and other requirements for controlled substances that might damage the ozone layer.
