Abstract

The Decree provides for the retirement and replacement of fishing vessels, inspected and approved to be unserviceable by a technical committee appointed by the Director General of the Public Corporation for Agriculture and Fish Resources, for purposes of cancellation of licences and issue of a licence for the new vessels. The owner must be a member of the Kuwaiti Association of Fishing Vessel Owners. The vessel must hold a valid licence and must not have been subject to transfer of ownership during the two years preceeding the date of presentation of the application. Contravention of provisions of this Decree shall be subject to penalties as provided for by Law No. 46 of 1980.
