Abstract This Decree approves the Industrial Activity Licensing Regulation. The Regulation, consisting of 46 articles divided into five Chapters and six Annexes, aims to establish the conditions and procedures for the licensing and exercise of industrial activities, safeguarding the protection of people, goods and the environment, covering Industrial Establishments that propose to carry out the activities included in the Classification of Economic Activities (CAE). It establishes the criteria for its classification in Large, Medium, Small and Micro Dimension, regulating the instruction of the process for installation and exercise of industrial establishment activities, the transmission, cessation and suspension of operation of establishments, and the sanctioning regime. In addition, it establishes the Simplified Licensing Regulation for the Exercise of Industrial Economic Activities. It is under the responsibility of the Minister who oversees the related sector to integrate new industrial activities in the list of activities covered by this Regulation.
