Decree No. 217 of the Cabinet of Ministers validating the Regulation on arrangements for protection of forests and proclamation of emergency situations in forests.

This Decree establishes: (a) arrangements for forest protection, the modalities and time periods for the performance thereof; and (b) the modalities of proclamation of emergency situations as a result of spreading of forest fires, pests and diseases. It shall be applicable also to protected areas. Forest trees infested by pests or infected, broken or damaged that can contribute to spreading of pests and diseases shall be subject to intermediate felling and sanitary felling. Forest cutting areas
