Abstract

This Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers defines the status, main tasks, functions, rights and responsibilities, and the procedure for organizing activities of State Inspectorate for Control and Supervision of Technical State and Safety of Large and Especially Important Water Management Facilities of the Ministry of Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan. State Inspectorate for Control and Supervision of Technical State and Safety of Large and Especially Important Water Management Facilities of the Ministry of Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan ("Gosvodkhoznadzor") is a body of public administration, authorized in the field of public supervision over water management facilities safety related to waterworks of I, II, III categories of importance, and also of waterworks below III class, representing an elevated hazard and risk in case of an emergency situations. The main tasks of the State Inspectorate for Control and Supervision of Technical State and Safety of Large and Especially Important Water Management Facilities shall be as follows: (a) supervision over reliability of technical condition, operation and safety of large and especially important water management facilities; (b) design, construction, commissioning and operation, reconstruction, repair, conservation and liquidation of large and especially important water facilities, including the organization of projects expertise, quality of construction, reconstruction, acceptance for operation, conservation and the liquidation; and (c) organization of reliable security for large and critical water management facilities.
