This Decree enters into force on the day after its publication.
Abstract

This Decree, consisting of 17 articles and four Annexes, approves the Regulation on Operations Related to Fisheries. It defines the coordinates where they can be carried out in waters under the sovereignty or jurisdiction of Guinea-Bissau and the respective procedures for carrying them out. It applies to all industrial fishing vessels operating in the waters under the jurisdiction of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau and to support vessels authorized to receive or carry out operations with them, with the necessary adaptations, to the operation of control and certification of fishing products to which the fishing vessels are subject at the end of each fishing trip. Operations related to fisheries are defined as follows: a) Transhipment, from one vessel to another, of catches that have been caught in the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) under the jurisdiction of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, in the EEZ under the jurisdiction of neighboring States or in the international waters of the FAO 34 zone; b) Supplying fishing vessels with fuel, materials and provisions; c) The transfer and change of crew.
