This Decree shall enter into force on the date of publication.
Abstract

This Decree regulates Law No. 1.893 on quality standards for potable water within the State of Rio de Janeiro. It consists of 9 articles and 1 Annex specifying the sanitary requirements to be satisfied by water infrastructures in order to guarantee potable water quality standards. Fines to be paid by offenders for illegal activities are specified in the Annex.
