Abstract This Decree, composed of 4 Chapters, regulates the production of electric energy by independent producer and self-producers. It defines terms such as: electric energy production, independent producer and self-producer, according to the type of concession or authorization granted. Independent producer is an individual or collective person who benefit from the concession or authorization to produce electric energy destined to the commercialization of whole or part of the produced energy; Self-producers are those who use the energy produced for their personal use.
