Abstract

This Decree establishes that Forest fire safety regulation shall be mandatory in the national forest fund and compulsory for all natural and legal persons. The beginning of forest fire risk season shall be established by forestry officials. In case of IV and V class of forest fire risk the local authorities can restrict or prohibit stay o citizens in the forests. Forest managers must know and observe forest fire safety rules and regulations. The following activities shall be prohibited during forest fire risk season: (a) to make fires; (b) to leave unextinguished burning and smoldering sources; (c) to use highly flammable patching for hunting; (d) to load fuel tanks of vehicles in unfit places; (e) to burn grass without authorization; and (f) to store timber at firebreaks.
