Abstract

This Decree lays down basic provisions related to prophylaxis and liquidation of enzootic encephalomyelitis of swine (Teschen disease) and it shall be mandatory for all legal and natural persons. Diagnosis of infectious enzootic encephalomyelitis of swine (Teschen disease) shall be established in accordance with clinical evidence, pathologicoanatomic changes, epizootological data and the results of laboratory testing. Purchase of swine shall be carried out at the farms that are free from enzootic encephalomyelitis of swine (Teschen disease). In order to prevent propagation of the disease swine shall be subject to testing for enzootic encephalomyelitis of swine (Teschen disease). Imported swine shall be put in quarantine for 30 days.
