Abstract Producers (except for domestic wastes), owners and managers (except for transporters) of waste shall keep an up-to-date register regarding the quantity and type of waste produced or taken over, treated by him, or transferred to somebody else. Annex 1 shows the data that the register kept by waste producers must contain in case of non-hazardous (point 1) and hazardous (point 2) waste. Point 3 of the Annex refers to registers to be kept by waste treatment plants. Once a year a regular data reporting is compulsory for waste treatment plants and for producers who employ more than 10 persons, or produce more than 200kg of hazardous, or more than 2000kg of non-hazardous waste, or more than 5000kg of non-hazardous waste deriving from construction and demolition. Model reporting forms are shown in Annexes 2-5. Organizations subject to regular reporting shall register with the Waste Information System using the form in Annexes 6-7. Waste producers that are not subject to such obligation shall provide data regarding their activity upon request of the environmental authority.
