Abstract

This Decree of the Department of Fisheries and Coast Protection requires vessels of more than 300 gross tonnage and vessels carrying hazardous substances or polluting cargo (as defined by MARPOL), including large oil tankers, to report to the relevant (port) administration. The duty to report vessels exists for: arrival of large ships; the departure of ships carrying hazardous substances or polluting cargo; and the ships arriving from a port outside of the EEA and carrying hazardous substances or polluting cargo.
